Title: “Traveling with Dionne Brand’s Map.”

Abstract: I traveled with Dionne Brand’s A Map to the Door of No Return from the U.S. to Kenya; in short trips within Kenya, to Kisumu and Mombasa; and in short trips out of Kenya, to South Africa and India. It was my travel companion, naming not only dispossession and deracination, but how relation is forged along wandering paths. In this meditation, I muse on these travels and relations.
